Cub Scouts Brave PowWow
The inaugural event was deemed a success with over 900 Cub Scouts and their parents signed up. Various events were staged including tug o war, BB gun, archery, fingerprinting, an inflatable slide, bean bag toss and more. A flag retirement booth was setup to give those Scouts who hadn't experienced it before the opportunity to retire a US Flag properly. Nearly 2000 hot dogs were served for lunch. After the event all OA members who helped out were treated to dinner from Honey Bear BBQ.
Memorial Service
An estimated 300 people (mostly Scouts and Scouters) assembled Sunday 10/23 to honor Spc Michael Elm. The Patriot Guard Riders and Spc Elm's family are grateful for the support.
Scouting for Food 2011
Scouting for Food was a big success. We had two pickup trucks overfull, the back of an Expedition full and a trunk load of fresh fruit. This gave us a total of over 2300 pounds worth of food donated. The shelves at the food bank will be full for at least a little while. Thank you to all the Scouts, leaders and parents for their help in making this year's drive run smoothly.
